Dead word

2009 called: it wants the word “curated” back. I hereby solemnly swear to stop using it.

At first, in the mid-2000s, I thought it was perfectly nice as an analogy or metaphor, as in: “What I do is kind of like curating. Yeah, I am sort of a curator, ha! But not literally, of course!”

But then it just got out of hand. And lately it’s become kind of douche-y and pretentious. Like fucking artisanal.
