Siri failures

Siri is task “friction” personified: she makes many tasks harder and more awkward. I have all but stopped using her. When she works, she’s great! For example, recently I invoked her and got an answer in an instant to, “What’s 800 grams in pounds?” That really is great. I was tempted to ask from some hot Earl Gray tea next.

But her frequent failures eat through all my gains and make me feel shouty. In particular, Siri has embarrassed me in public for the last time. It’s awkward enough bossing your phone around when “she” behaves. When she doesn’t? Arg!
