“Teaching”

Maybe the Germans have a word for that bleak, baffled feeling when you realize that you are being “taught” by someone who isn’t interested in your initiative, creativity, or enthusiasm for the subject matter.

Most teaching professionals are dedicated and competent, and they get unfairly judged by the public and students (as beautifully demonstrated in this funny/sad video, 1:29). But I’ve sure had a few disappointments over the years.
